Christmas this year was fun. Tyelar and Mckinzi got an MP3 player. Mckinzi also got a pottery wheel and an air hog helecopter. Ty got a new game and a cabbage patch doll. Then Miss Oakley got a game, a kitchen play set and an aqua mat. Jason and his son Brayden spent the night on Christmas Eve and opened presents with us christmas morning. It was really nice. My dad started off the morning by reading a few scriptures out of the Bible. It is a good tradition to start. It helps keep the true meaning of Christmas around. So easly you can forget our Savior and all that he has done for us at this time of year. Not to mention there are people who don't even know what Christmas is really about.

This year we did go to Temple Square to look at the lights. We rode the train downtown. It was a lot of fun...cold...but fun!

Tis the season....

I think I am ready for Christmas! I have decided this year I am only getting gifts for my kids. This year has kinda been a rough one with a lot of changes. Some good some bad but really I am happy with my life right now. I do need to say I have the best parents and awesome siblings, they all have really have helped me out a lot this year. Honestly without my family life would be sad.
Speaking of siblings, I need to mention Jordan and how proud of him I am. *tear* really that kid has gone through a lot this year too and he is on his way to becoming a new man. I hope that he continues to reach for the stars and achieve his goals.
So I quite my job at Marriott, three years I have been here and now it's time to move on. I have accepted a job at Westridge Academy doing night security. I am excited for the change and think that this will be good for me and my girls. It will allow me to get the girls up and off to school I will be home when they are home from school and if they need me during the day...I will be home, sleeping.. but home:) Who knows maybe I will be able to go back to school?
This time of year always seems so busy and stressful but honestly it is my most favorite time of the year!

Proud Parent

I just need to take a minute to say how much I love my girls. I am the luckiest mother in the world to have the girls I have! They make me so happy.

So Mckinzi was given the CEO (Chief Example to Others) award at her school. They are having an awards ceremony at her school tomorrow and her name will be displayed on her school web site. In addition, they will display her certificate in the office all this week.

I am so proud of her and hope that she continues to be a strong leader to her classmates, sisters, and hopefully cousins. Mckinzi is an awesome daughter and sister. I believe there is a reason why she is the oldest. I love you Mckinzi!

Let it snow!

So Saturday was the first major snow fall of the year. Boy did we get a lot of snow! The kids loved it. They went outside to play in it and grandpa followed. They tried to make a snowman but it did not really work out. It wouldnt roll into a ball, but they had fun with it anyway. They made a snowblob instead. It's cute!

Oh Christmas Tree!

So last sunday we went to Manti to cut down our christmas tree. We just hiked up the mountain and found the best looking tree and chop it down. Took it home, decorated it, and had banana splits! It was a lot of fun. We try to do it every year. It started when Carmen and Ammon got married. His family lives there and they do it every year. I forgot the camera in the car... bummer... but I did take one picture of all the kiddos on the trailer before we loaded up the trees....ok a few I forgot about the ones on the way down there.

Moab baby!

So we went to Moab for Labor Day and it was so much fun! It's Jason's home away from home.
We left on Friday and came home on Monday. The trail was a three day two night camp out. We left Moab Saturday morining drove 70 miles, which put us 10 miles away from Lake Powell, this was with about 25 or more other Jeeps. The first day we headed in 15 miles then set up camp. It was so cool! The only thing is that the breaks on the jeep were giving us problems so we decided not to finish the trail and go home. There was another couple that was having brek problems so we left together. It was so much fun I can't wait to go back and take the kids!
